HD Profile
A stable role pattern shapes how you meet other people and recurring life situations. Review one recent collaboration or conflict, then note whether you investigated first, learned by testing, or responded to others' expectations.
In detail
In Human Design, Profile combines two line values from one through six into one of twelve fixed configurations. The first value comes from the Personality Sun and Earth line, and the second from the Design Sun and Earth line. Interpretation examines how the outward role and underlying operation combine, including recurring patterns around investigation, experimentation, projection, and social expectation. Compare the two line functions before reading their combined role; Profile describes interaction, not how a present decision becomes valid. Profile is fixed at twelve configurations formed by combining the Personality and Design Sun lines, so the forms below are split into those twelve: identify your own line combination first, then read the behavior pattern that goes with it.

FAQ
- What do the two numbers in a Human Design Profile mean?
- The two numbers describe two layers of the role pattern. Both use line values from one through six: the first comes from the Personality Sun and Earth, and the second from the Design Sun and Earth. Read each line's function separately before interpreting how the pair behaves in relationships.
- How many Human Design Profiles are there?
- There are twelve fixed Profile configurations. Each pairs two values drawn from the six lines, and the available distribution figure is about eight percent for each Profile, although any particular sample may not be perfectly even. Confirm the exact pair on the individual chart.
- Does a Human Design Profile change with age?
- It does not change into a different number pair. Profile is a stable chart configuration, although experience can alter how maturely or visibly its role pattern is expressed. Look for repeated interaction patterns over time rather than defining it from one event.
