In the Human Design System, a BodyGraph is calculated from birth data and classified as one of five Types: Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector, Manifestor, or Reflector. The classification follows the pattern of definition across the nine centers, especially Sacral definition, motor connection to the Throat, and whether all centers remain undefined. Type establishes the broad Strategy for engaging with people and events, while Authority addresses how a specific decision is made; the two are related but not interchangeable.
