A planetary ingress occurs when a planet other than the Moon enters a new zodiac sign, changing how its usual themes are expressed. A planetary ingress begins when a transiting planet crosses zero degrees of the next zodiac sign. It is read through the previous sign until that boundary is crossed, then through the new sign until the following ingress.
