Grain Rain

Slow results are entering a period of steady accumulation. Add one scheduled contribution to savings, a long manuscript, or a durable project, then remove the commitment most likely to interrupt it.

In detail

Grain Rain begins when the Sun reaches 30 degrees of apparent ecliptic longitude and remains current until the next solar term. In Bazi it is the central qi of the Dragon month, so it does not change the month pillar. Its name links rain with the growth of grain, producing an interpretive emphasis on repeated inputs, maturation, and foundations that need time before yielding results. Collected Explanations of the Seventy-Two Seasonal Phases explains this naming. Clear and Bright opens the Dragon month, while Grain Rain describes development within that same month.

FAQ

Does Grain Rain change the Bazi month pillar?
No. Grain Rain is the central qi within the Dragon month, so it marks development inside the month rather than a new boundary; the pillar has already changed at Clear and Bright, which is the transition to check in a chart.
Is Grain Rain suitable for starting a long-term savings plan or project?
Yes, especially when the contribution can be repeated. The image of rain supporting grain favors accumulation over immediate payoff, though an oversized commitment can still fail; set a fixed amount of money, writing, or work time that can continue consistently.
