This form is established when the Day Master is extremely weak, lacks roots and meaningful support, and Wood clearly dominates the chart strongly enough that resistance is impractical. It is a natal structure, with Wood-supporting periods making the following tendency easier to express. Because the Day Master cannot stand independently, added support can disrupt the chart’s prevailing direction; Wood’s growth and extension become the usable current instead. Unlike an ordinary weak chart, which benefits from Resource or Companion support, a following structure is harmed by attempts to prop the Day Master up.
